Classes: 
Classes are offered once a month in the Electronic Classroom at Rondo Library. Dates and times vary. All classes require registration before attendance. 
  
Beginning Computer

This 8 session class is for people who have little or no experience using computers. The class covers basic vocabulary and functions of the computer, including using the mouse and typing skills. Students will also learn to find information on the internet and send email messages. No experience required.

  

Microsoft Word

Students will learn the basics of Microsoft Word 2003 in this 8 session class. The class covers creating and saving documents and ways to format text. The class introduces; spell check, tables, headers and footers, lists, clip art, tabs, and mail merge.

Required Experience: Must be able to type with both hands and be comfortable using the mouse.

  

Microsoft Excel

This 8 session class covers using spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel 2003. The class teaches how to enter and format data. Students will learn to use formulas, create graphs, filter lists, and use sheets when working with budgets, inventories or contact lists. 

Required Experience: Must be able to type with both hands and be comfortable using the mouse.

 

Microsoft PowerPoint

In this short class, students will create a presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003. The slide show will include animations, pictures, and designs. If time allows, students will present. The class covers basic tools so students have the skills to explore on their own.

Required Experience: Students must have basic typing skills and basic mouse skills.

 

Learning Lab

Learning Lab hours are reserved for ADULTS. The lab can be used for job searching, resume work, homework, or assistance with computer skills. There is a fax machine and scanner available for use. No registration is required, but space is limited.Check monthly schedule for dates and times.
